Full Time Plant / HGV / Agricultural Mechanic (fitter) required
We are looking for an experienced Plant Fitter / Mechanic to join our team at Jackson Plant Ltd
The role is predominantly supporting our customers with repairs and servicing of plant machinery, covering breakdowns and preparing plant for hire
The role entails a variety of duties and responsibilities working at the depot and remotely Jackson Plant Ltd is based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire covering a radius of generally no more than 50 miles
You will be required to work on a range of machinery including:
HGV’s
Small plant tools (wackerplates, road saws etc)
Excavators
Telehandlers
Site dumpers
Rollers
The successful candidate will need to hold a clean driving licence and a NVQ level 2 in the maintenance and repair of construction plant (or equivalent)
Qualifications in Agricultural or Motor Vehicle Mechanical Engineering may also be considered.
Essential Criteria:
Experience in the repair and maintenance of construction plant machinery
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Have the ability to work using own initiative applying a positive approach to problem solving
Good team player and flexible in their approach to working
Excellent time management skills in order to manage work load effectively
