Sponsorship for local group

From RAF planes to Minions, Thirsk Yarnbombers’ creative flair and passion has been evident for all to see since they started ‘yarnbombing’ the town back in 2015.
The 60+ strong group with hundreds of years knitting experience between them do a brilliant job of brightening our town with their ingenious knitted creations.
This year’s Tour de Yorkshire will be no different, with the group set to go all out again to make the cycle route look fantastic through Thirsk. But this time we've given them a little help by sponsoring their ‘bombing’ through the town.
Edward Jackson, Managing Director of Jackson Plant Ltd, can’t wait to see the new display:
“My family have been very impressed by the Yarnbombers. We’re always on the look out to see what they will do next, it’s really clever what they’ve done so far.
We take our hats off to people who give so much of their time and energy to the community, and as big fans of the Tour de Yorkshire we decided to offer the Yarnbombers sponsorship to decorate for the event. We’re really looking forward to seeing the results.”
Dianne Archibald, Chair of the Thirsk Yarnbombers said they are delighted to have some help:
"Donations such as these are very valuable to us as we supply the yarn to members so that everyone can take part regardless of financial status. It makes our aim of complete inclusivity much easier.
Anyone can join our group regardless of ability and we have plenty of members who are more than willing to teach knitting and crochet. We also have members who make pompoms for us as they don't want to knit or crochet.
We are all looking forwards to a wonderful, colourful, fun filled summer & thank Jackson Plant again for their support. "
